Doctors day celebration 2023

On July 1st, National Doctors Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm at Mar Thoma Academy. As part of the celebration, the students from the academy embarked on an educational visit to Universal Hospital, where they had the opportunity to meet with senior doctors and gain insights into the world of medicine.

The highlight of the visit was the interaction with two esteemed doctors, Dr. Bharat Shah and Dr. Javed Ahmed. These senior doctors, renowned for their expertise and contribution to the medical field, warmly welcomed the students and shared their experiences and knowledge. The students were thrilled to have the chance to engage with such accomplished professionals.

As a gesture of gratitude and respect, the students presented flowers and bouquets to Dr. Bharat Shah and Dr. Javed Ahmed. The flowers symbolized the students appreciation for the doctors relentless efforts and dedication in providing healthcare and saving lives. The doctors were humbled by this kind gesture and expressed their gratitude for the recognition.

INTERNATIONAL YOGA DAY CELEBRATION 2023

International Yoga Day is celebrated worldwide on 21st June every year to promote physical and mental well-being through the practice of yoga. Mar Thoma Academy actively participated in this global event, organizing a vibrant and insightful celebration on 21st June 2023. The event aimed to educate students about the importance of yoga, encourage healthy lifestyle choices, and foster a sense of mindfulness among the school community.

The event enabled students to experience the transformative power of yoga firsthand and encouraged them to incorporate yoga into their daily lives. By promoting mindfulness, stress reduction, and a healthy lifestyle, the celebration contributed to the overall well-being of the school community, fostering a positive and harmonious atmosphere.

Teacher Workshop

A motivational workshop for teachers of Mar Thoma schools was organised at Mar Thoma H. Sec School.

H.S. Khalsa, the Academic Director of the Himalaya Group, served as the key speaker for the workshop. With vast experience in the field of education, Mr. Khalsa brought valuable insights and expertise to the event.

The workshop proved to be a valuable platform for teachers to enhance their pedagogical skills, gain new insights, and rekindle their passion for teaching. The address by H.S. Khalsa shed light on the importance of teacher well-being, hands-on learning, and effective preparation. The workshop served as a stepping stone towards creating a positive and impactful learning environment for students, in line with the NEP 2020 and the national curriculum framework.

The workshop also included interactive sessions, allowing teachers to engage in discussions, share their experiences, and seek clarification on various topics. These sessions provided a platform for teachers to learn from one another, exchange ideas, and strengthen their professional network.

The event concluded with a vote of thanks, expressing appreciation to the key speaker, participants, and organizers for their contributions and commitment to the advancement of education.

NCC CAMP 2023-24

Dedicated, disciplined and committed citizens are the foundation of a strong nation. The National Cadet Corps (NCC) provides opportunities to the youth of the country for their all-round development with a sense of duty, patriotism and inculcates moral values in them so that they become able leaders and useful citizens.

The NCC cadets of Mar Thoma Academy participated in a 9 days NCC camp at LNCT college, Indore from 12 th May,2023 to 21 st May, 2023 with full zeal and enthusiasm. There students actively participated in a number of activities right from attending morning drills to Yoga, Meditation, Zumba, Rifle Shooting and theory classes on related subjects. Students also attended various seminars during the camp on current and relevant issues like Cyber-crime, Health and Hygiene and Road safety measures. The camp concluded with cultural programmes where the Cadets from school presented mesmerizing dance performances. Cadets were provided with the certificates on conclusion of the camp.
